Yes,you can have multiple thoughts running. My thoughts re problems with them - With attention deficit disorder things don't really get held but thoughts would be multiple & pass quickly, not staying on task kind of thing but differ ent from ptsd.
With Bi-polar manic they are fleeting,run on,impulsive,etc.

I guess I'm not quite sure where you want to go with this. In general I'd say it's a sign of intelligence & creativity.
With ptsd, people may see both or more sides of an issue.
It's normal in general to debate with one's self.

It's probably akin to multi-tasking.
It depends how far you get with the process & if taking 1 at a time gets a better job done.

I've been diagnosed with the first and last. I wonder about AADD. I've about decided they're all interchangable depending on clinician .
This email would have made a great comment to the boxes post!

If ya want to cut & paste & put it up it's fine with me. Omit the stuff below the line for sure.
My view of you is that of depression & ptsd.
Not that there can't be other stuff going on, but ptsd has been diagnosed as a lot of things. Yup clinician focuses on something & throws a psychosis or manic or whatever else someone's way depends on how familiar they are with ptsd.
About ADD, stuff doesn't just disappear after childhood.
But what separates a high anxiety level out of some of these ?
People also spend their focus in different places. I am VERY unfocused with around the house things, but I can get other stuff done. It bothers me that I haven't recovered most of the motivation I had when I was running on fear & ot her agendas. It's like I unwound & now have a problem with pressure to do things. A house is a difficult place for me & I've been told not to force myself to do things I don't want to. Criticism or perception of also enter s into it also. So while some of my things feel very exagerated to me (ie more than ptsd), the psychers place it right in the realm of ptsd.
Dissociation also throws another log into the unfocused/get lost realm.
Flooding has to be filtered out from the mix also. While 'we' can get really obsessive over one thing, 'we' can also get swamped by many things.
In some ways the less I think about it the better I feel about myself & the more I can look at/acknowledge the little things I do get done....or realize that some of the stuff I was sweating I didn't need to.
So again I wonder if it's some sort of stage.
I read this thing that said ptsd probably gets worse as we age because the more engaged we've become in the world, the less control we realize we have over it's events.
And 'we' don't like that,it destabilizes us.

boy did I screw up!
I like the tekka template, but it don't have some features I want. I did a pretty good job of learning Basic and how to use batch commands. I even got A's and B's in C++, assembly, and MS applications at Arkansas Tech. We won't mention COBOL.
Anyway, being the bright fellow I think I am, I figured I'd apply a few of the published hacks to my new template. I cut and pasted the tekka template code into notePad. Good so far. Then I got lazy and imported it into Mozilla's composer to do it the 'easy' way.
Guess what? Mozilla though the source code could use some jazzing up. It wrapped the tekka code in Mozilla's own formating code the first time I used the preview feature. I wasn't paying attention like I should have been, and cut and pasted all the derived code with my additions back into the template window for this bLog. The result was that all the blogger code showed when I tried to view my bLog. It was all nicely formatted but...
Instead of the title the blogger tag for the title showed in h1 format &etc. Boy is my face red!
I'm glad I didn't belittle some of my friends that had problems getting set up with Blogger. Way to go folks!
