after a running fire fight, that was mostly running on my part, with about a dozen cowboys that'd decided they were VC that morning. I had ran into the labyrinth of 4' high walls, shacks, garden plots, and small yards when they split up and posted the intersections I'd have to go through to get back to the main gate at the ARVN base.
I think I've posted the story on a forum somewhere. Think I might try to dig it up.
